The weather is cooler and winter is almost here – Yay!!!
Why do I love winter?
Because it means hiking season and hiking during the cold season is the best experience. No pesky flies and mosquitoes, leeches are less proliferate and you don’t bake to death under the winter sun.
Me and local mountain man Matt, will be leading this relatively – intermediate to hard hiking trail up in Blackheath.
This 11km walk has a 955m descent and ascent up Govett Leaps stairs. It should take about 7 hours for a relatively fit group, with a short lunch break.
The spectacular scenery, waterfalls and awesome cliff-top views are definitely worth the effort.
If you got what it takes, come and join us for some cool mountain air.
Members with cars will be given priority, as we need more car pooling.
See you soon on the trip.
Susan and Matt
