Leaving Friday night, I’m planning to travel to Kosciusko National Park, home of Australia’s highest Mountain Range for an Alpine Hike along the Main Range trail.
Although the drive is quite long (for the drivers) 6hrs one way, simply put the quietness and views of the Snowy Mountains make the effort so worthwhile ! Further as the snow season was extended I expect we will have an opportunity to use snow shoes.
Due to the nature of an Alpine Hike I have certain requirements including personal camping equipment, cold weather clothing, a high level of fitness. Petrol and National Park entrance fees will be shared among participants. Snow hiking experience is preferable. More details to follow for chosen participants.
If interested please send me an email with your hiking and/or cold weather experience (and if you have a car). Feel free to ask me any questions.
