Welcome to the UTS (University of Technology, Sydney) Outdoor Adventure Club website. This is where the action starts and finishes - but everything else happens outside!
The newly appointed committee for 2008 has been busy preparing a great year, and one of the big jobs is getting this great website to work even better. So from time to time you may experience a few hiccups along the way - don't panic, just try again in a few minutes.
The OAC is a volunteer run club, affiliated with, but not exclusive to, the University of Technology. Sydney's only inner-city University. Our job is to get students and city dwellers as far from those sky-scrapers as possible. Anyone can join, and if you're keen - we welcome as much help as we can get. This club runs on enthusiasm and good karma alone.
For 2008, the program includes more training for participants and trip leaders alike, more social activities, and my agenda is to see the club emphasise it's role as a "minimal impact" outdoor club.
What ever your interests are - make sure you keep your eye on this site, as trips come and go every day, so don't miss out!
See you outside,
Marty Middlebrook
President
In case you have any trouble with the website: please first try really hard to make it work, we are all volunteers with little time, so don’t send us an email if you can find the answer elsewhere. If you didn’t manage to solve a technical problem, please email the webmaster webmaster [at] utsoac [dot] org [dot] au.
For all other inquiries, you can email me (president [at] utsoac [dot] org [dot] au) but similarly, please make sure that the answer can not be found elsewhere. To join, click “join” above you, everything is explained there. To join a trip, please click on “Activities”.
